Hardened tool steel detachable face plates will accept specimens up to 3" diameter or any other shape specimens that will fit within 3" diameter. Ball socket mounting screws in both grips assures parallelism between plates and perpendicularity to force when load is applied. An additional female adapter (aluminum) is supplied to adapt bottom grip.
