These portable gauges feature a rugged cast iron case with holes to attach to a bench or fixture. Often used where high force is involved and operating conditions are severe, the gauge includes a spring with a high safety factor to withstand the shock of sudden release. Accurate to within (+/-) one graduation, the gauge includes a maximum reading pointer. The unit is graduated in both metric and avoirdupois. Measures either tension or compression.
