These moderately priced, finely-built instruments have an unusually slender shape, facilitating their use to measure either tension or compression in the narrowest areas. Graduated in both English and metric and accurate to (+/-) one graduation, they are particularly popular for laboratory uses, such as testing fruit, pill crush, rubber resistance, etc. Construction is all brass with satin chrome finish. Can be used in all positions and optionally available with maximum reading pointer (above 1 lb.).
