RS232 Utilities
WedgeLink and Collect captures instrument readings and sends them
transparently to your application or directly to a file. Any
program that allows you to manually enter data can receive
data directly from these utilities. Your application accepts the
data as if it were manually entered from the keyboard.
WedgeLink and Collect were designed for those who simply want to turn on their
computer and begin collecting data with existing programs where manual entry
is now being done. These utilities are extremely easy to use and will save countless
hours of tedious data entry.
These RS-232 utilities take data coming into a PC serial port from a Dillon instrument and enters it directly to the PC software application of your choice. It accomplishes this by "fooling" the software application to believe that the data is actually being typed by the user. Typical software applications include Excel, Lotus 123, SPC programs, etc. Nearly all of these programs offer "parsing", which is the ability to automatically strip undesired characters such as units tags. Compatible with all Dillon & Quantrol Instrumentation.

WedgeLink Software
WedgeLink is available in three different editions, each designed to meet specific sets of user requirements. WedgeLink Lite is quite simple and does not offer any parsing abilities. WedgeLink Standard is a well-rounded software program that offers extensive parsing. WedgeLink Network can work with multiple devices that are extended distances from the computer.
Collect Software
Collect software has its own internal spreadsheet in addition to being able to enter data into other programs. Collect only works with Microsoft Excel and has more extensive parsing abilities. The Collect program can send RS-232 commands and simple macros.
