A Shouldered Grip for Adhesive Test (5 kN, 1124 lbf)
This fixture consists of two bobbin holders with a slot in the shoulder
to allow the bobbins to be easily inserted. The adhesive to be tested,
is applied to the square surface of each bobbin, then the bobbins are
held together until the adhesive is set. The assembly is then slid into
the slots of each holder and the tensile test performed.
The grip is supplied complete with six bobbins so three tests can be
performed in a batch. After each test, the adhesive is removed ready to
the next test. Bobbins are also suitable for testing sealants and
mastics.

Applications:
Used to determine the adhesion properties of adhesives, sealants and
mastics by measuring the minimum tensile stress neccessary to detach or
rupture the coating.
